Fatal car accident kills 2 in Alabama

The outcome of any car crash certainly depends on the specific circumstances of the incident. Unfortunately, many people are negatively affected by such events every day, and it is not unusual for a car accident to result in injuries or fatalities. These outcomes can complicate a situation, and many individuals may face a number of hardships in the aftermath of a crash.

It was recently reported that a fatal event took place in Alabama. Apparently, the incident involved only one vehicle that had two individuals inside. According to reports, the car failed to remain on the roadway, and as a result, it crashed into a tree. The vehicle then caught fire. It was noted that the incident occurred a little after 9 a.m.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle both suffered fatal injuries in the crash. They were pronounced deceased at the accident site. Identifying information pertaining to those individuals was not disclosed. At the time of the report, the accident was still under investigation, but authorities suspected that speed may have played a role in the fatal event.

Though this car accident resulted in the deaths of both parties involved, the family of the passenger may still be able to take legal action to pursue recovery of monetary damages. A wrongful death claim filed against the estate of the driver considered at fault may be an appropriate remedy should they wish to do so. Speaking with an experienced attorney may help them determine whether this alternative could work for them and what damages may be recoverable under Alabama law.
