Mistakes are often made throughout life. Some individuals’ errors in judgment may seem more serious than others, and in a number of those instances, parties can end up facing criminal charges. However, drug charges and other allegations do not necessarily mean that a person will face immediate punishment. An accused party does have the right to create and present a criminal defense.

One woman in Alabama may be exploring her defense routes after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the woman’s vehicle was stopped by police for an undisclosed reason. After stopping the vehicle, police reportedly conducted a search of the car, but it was unclear what may have warranted this search. Nonetheless, police allegedly found a drug known as ICE, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the reported discoveries, the woman was arrested on multiple charges. The allegations brought against her include drug trafficking, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of the report, the woman was still in custody on a $1 million bond. It was not mentioned whether any court dates for her case had been determined.

Drug charges are serious allegations, and the woman will undoubtedly want to ensure that she deals with these charges in the best manner possible. In order to fully understand her options, she may wish to gain more information on criminal defense strategies that may suit her particular circumstances. She may also want to work with her legal counsel to find out what her Alabama legal proceedings may entail.
