Wrongful death: Alcohol suspected in fatal Alabama crash

There are many situations in which individuals could have grounds to take legal actions against other parties. When it comes to fatal car accidents, surviving family of victims may have reason to file wrongful death claims against the drivers considered at fault. These types of claims could help them pursue compensation for permitted damages.

One family in Alabama may be exploring their legal options after a recent crash. Reports stated that only one vehicle was involved in the incident, which occurred around 5 p.m. Apparently, the driver of the vehicle did not keep the car on the road, and as a result, it hit a tree. There were at least three individuals in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The incident resulted in a 59-year-old passenger suffering fatal injuries. Another passenger and the driver of the vehicle were both taken to an area hospital. The driver was considered to be in critical condition at the time of the report. Authorities suspected that alcohol may have played a role in the incident taking place, but at the time of the report, charges had not yet been filed.

The family of the woman killed in this Alabama car accident may find it helpful to find out more information on potentially pursuing a lawsuit against the driver considered at fault. Filing a claim could allow them to seek monetary restitution for funeral expenses, pain and suffering and other damages that may result from their loss. If they feel it could be right for their circumstances, they may wish to look into wrongful death claims further.
